It’s been awhile since I wrote one of these, but here is my July Blog Events Update. I will talk about some of these subjects a little more in-depth in later blog articles. So here is what’s been going on in no particular order.
Thank you to all who entered my Jord giftcode giveaway! Our winner received their giftcode already via email. For those who are interested in purchasing a Jord wood watch, here is a $20 promo code, “PBtrendydallas20,” you can use at checkout.
I just posted something today about the new Ticket Chat app. This app is an interesting concept where you can charge anywhere from $.99 and up to reveal exclusive information you gained in your areas of expertise. You can think of it like paying little to nothing for an education in things like fashion or beauty. Right now I have a premium chat open at all times, but I still need to experiment with other chats. Some people asked me in the past to get together for coffee or dinner to chat, and this is another way to do something similar and receive valuable information. I will go in-depth on this later.
Last fall I was on Discovery Channel’s, “Misfit Garage,” to review Tom’s food-truck cooking concept. I wasn’t sure which episode or season it was, but I finally found it. We are on Misfit Garage Season 3 Episode 8. You can follow the link to watch the episode. You have to watch at around 26 or 27 minutes in before you will see flashes of me. I was too shy then to do an interview. Last summer I received an email from a producer of the show last summer and they asked me to invite people to the event. About six people on the show were my guests. It was such an exciting thing to be able to do.
Once a month, you can attend the cocktail mix-off at Pepper Smash in Plano, TX at the Shops at Legacy. I got invited last night to be one of three judges for the event. The challenge is the mixologists are shown two secret ingredients for their drinks right before they are given ten-minutes to concoct a cocktail on a whim. Last night they were given champagne and Bacardi as the challenging ingredients, and we judged two cocktails. The Puerto Rican Rose Apple was our favorite over the Banana Hemingway, but both were still yummy. The folks over at Pepper Smash are quite talented, indeed. If you join this event, you can sample the winning cocktail, or maybe all, I cannot recall what they did. I will go further in-depth on this later.
I’m a little late on reporting this, but right now there is a Wingz $1 promotion for new customers in Dallas and Houston. Wingz is a private car service offering airport rides up to 20 miles. This promotion is going on until August 19. Each dollar will be donated to local Meals on Wheels.
The other things I want to cover soon include, the Dote Shopping App, Smile Brilliant, Megan McClary of LulaRoe, Skinny Coffee Club, Vitalize Medical Spa Plano, Next Door on McKinney, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. I think this is enough to digest for now. Stay tuned for more soon!
